Montag began work on her musical occupation in February 2007, recording with producer David Foster. After several leaks and promotional single, Montag released her first single, “Higher”, in February 2008. Heidi Montag first official single, “Superficial” was released nearly two years later, in November 2009. Montag’s introduction album, Superficial was digitally released on January 11, 2010. The album, which cost more than $2,000,000 to produce, sold just over 1,000 copies in its first week of release.
